Designing and constructing magnetic tape line follower mobile robot
The main objective of this thesis is to build a sensor for detecting magnetic tape that will be used as a path for a line follower mobile robot. The previous line follower mobile robot used white or black tape as the line. Magnetic tape is chosen as the line in this project. This new line will solve a problem in an industry. Many forklifts pass through the line and the line will be damaged or dirty, but it is no problem because the line has magnetism's behavior. In this project, the author will discuss more about what sensor which is used to detect the magnetic tape. On the other hand, some analysis will be discussed about the sensitivity of the sensor and the linearity's relationship between the changing voltage and the changing distance.
