Prevalance of cervical cancer in endemic area (red light district) in Penjaringan, North Jakarta and their characterization of isolated Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) from infected human
Cervical cancer is one of the cancers that cause high number of deaths in women inrnIndonesia. It caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV). In this study, we would like tornmeasure the prevalence of cervical cancer in red light district and to analyze thernnucleotide sequence of the isolate to identify the type of HPV in Penjaringan arearnamong 56 women using conventional Pap smear and using MY09/MY11 primers setrnto analyze the positive samples. The study concluded that the prevalence cervicalrncancer in Penjaringan area was 0.03%, with the 2 positive, 4 HSIL, 2 AGUS, 1 ASC-rnH, 10 ASC-US, and 34 are Negative but the MY09/MY11 primers could not detectedrnthe type of HPV from the positive result.
