Hepatoprotective effect of annona muricata, allium sativa, curcuma mangga, and ananas comosus in rat after ccl4 induction
Liver has a function to neutralizing toxic substances that enter the body causing it as a main target for toxicity. Natural products like soursop, garlic, white turmeric and pineapple is the 4 main things that have been studied for their hepatoprotective properties. This research was to determine the dose and hepatoprotective characteristic of the 4 extracts. The hepatoprotective activity of the extract was determined by measuring serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (SGPT), serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (SGOT) and A/G ratio level on rat blood. There were 24 rats prepared, divided into 4 groups; control, negative control (untreated group), and 2 treated groups and each was given the extract with certain dose and 3 times of dose from the otherrngroup. Treatment was conducted for 6 weeks. Rat blood was collected 4 times. Before CCl4 injection, after CCl4 injection and 3 weeks after the extract was given to the rats. Data Analysis test that was used in the experiment was One-Way ANOVA using SPSS with 95% confidence interval. Based on the results, the combination of 4 extracts can reduced the SGOT and SGPT levels and increase the A/G Ratio levels on treated experimental subject (rats) after being induced with CCl4.
