The purpose of this thesis is to develop an automated palletizing machine capable of palletizing boxes up to 3 layers within the cycle time specifications. Automated palletizing machine has been developed in the automation production industry to increase the productivity and reliability of the production line. Pneumatic cylinders and linear motion system is the main actuators to handle the boxes inserted to the machine. The actuators are controlled by a programmable logic controller which reads inputs from proximity sensors and encoder to decide the course of action taken by the actuators."
