Digital control of a DC/DC converter with a DSPIC evaluation board
DC/DC converters are widely used both in the commercial and industrial world. DC/DC converters are used to change the voltage level of DC voltage to be used in various applications. This project aims to create a DC/DC converter that can be controlled by a dsPIC evaluation board. The dsPIC evaluation board will provide the PWM needed by the switching DC/DC converter and the result measurements of the system are displayed on the onboard LCD. Some adjustments both in hardware and software are made to interface both devices. The DC/DC converter used in this project is the QUINT Buffer 24VDC/24VDC/40A from Phoenix Contact. The buffer module consists of a buck and boost converter connected in series
