Flexible manufacturing system (fms) integrated with a scada system

The problem to be examined involved understanding what should be considered torndesign an integrated SCADA system in FMS included technique how to integraternbetween existing system and custom tailored system. This design specification coversrnthe general requirements and method of communication and protocol use in industry.rnWhen there is statutory method of local regulations pertaining to communication andrnprotocols, the requirements of method shall govern.rnThe primary purpose of this research paper is to design philosophy and generalrnrequirements of SCADA regarding to communication technique and strategy of thernprocess scheme implemented in FMS. Communication that applied on this researchrnbased on Modbus Protocol via RS485 and software used to develop SCADA systemrnbased on Microsoft Visual Basic6. As model of existing system by using Mitsubishirnrobot RVM-1 and for custom tailored system base on conjunction with other thesisrnproject. SCADA systems shall be capable to communicate with each station, controlrnthe information flow regarding of information sharing between each stations.rnThe theoretical perspective for the proposed study commonly referred to Automation,rnRobotic, Programming, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, andrnMicrocontroller subjects. Automation, Robotic, and Programming subjects are veryrnuseful in order to design SCADA system.
