Analysis, design and implementation of lecturer assessment information system in Swiss German University
The university needs a facility through which students can give feedback about the performance and competence of their lecturers. This facility has been developed at Swiss German University by using manual calculation process with the tally-marks method.rn The purpose of the study is to provide the university with an automated information system to assess its lecturers and to replace the current manual processes. The research consists of analysis of the previous business processes, the design and implementation of the new system, and the integration of it into SGU's system. The lecturer-assessment information system includes a front-end for the students to input the assessment, and a back-end for viewing the results of the assessment. The new system is expected to reduce processing time, human resources, and cost.rn This research uses PHP as the scripting language, and MySQL as the database-management system.
