Designing and implementing a watering system in a greenhouse which controls humidity and temperature
Automatic systems cover most of human life. One example is automatic control of temperature, humidity and watering system in the greenhouse. A prototype has been developed at a low cost to justify an effective use of automation system. Instead of using conventional way to control humidity, temperature and watering system, the system is to put into action the desired task automatically. SHTM15, an integrated sensor for humidity and temperature, senses conditions. Data from SHTM15 is compared with the given set points in microcontroller (AT89S52). Actuators, such as humidifier, heater and DC Fan, regulate the temperature and humidity. The temperature and humidity is displayed on a GUI for monitoring and data recording. Meanwhile watering system is actuated for 6.5 seconds automatically every an hour to wet the plant. The system performs most of operations as systems currently in the market, but at only a fraction of the cost.
