Simulation of fingerprint recognition using statistical pattern recognition in matlab

The primary purpose of this thesis is to study the pattern of fingerprint recognition and its algorithm. The benefit of simulating the fingerprint recognition using MATLAB is to understand the working process of fingerprint recognition easily.rnrnThe methodology which will be used for this thesis is statistical pattern recognition. UML will be used to design the application. Minutiae-based matching with relative pre-alignment is used as its technique. rnrnThe finding of this thesis is that it is possible to recognize fingerprints by using the required methodology. This experiment proves the exact identity of two fingerprints.
