Online shopping, an opportunity or dilemma in Indonesia
The thesis analyzes online shopping issues in Indonesia as it may become opportunities or dilemma, because of the barriers from government, education, technology and culture. rnrn The Theory adopted in this thesis is from Benefits of e-commerce at a glance, Rowan Will, (2000), The E-Commerce Pocketbook, and Electronic Commerce, A Managerial Perspective by Turban Efraim.rnrn The method adopted is a comprehensive analysis on survey and data collection, analyze the requirement, Design & Analysis and Result. For further analysis, a case study will be used to support this thesis. The case study is one of the successful Airlines in Indonesia, AirAsia Airline. In addition to supporting this thesis, we also take a project for further study and analysis. The project is designing an online shopping for book transaction in SGU. There would be qualitative and quantitative analysis to describe how worth the online shopping for an organization.rnrn There are various opportunities and benefits resulted by E-Commerce business model. The expectation of this thesis is to find what kind of opportunities and benefits by implementing online shopping, especially in Indonesia.
