Golf as a tourist recreational attraction to support tourism in Jakarta

The purpose of this research is to study golf as a potential tourist recreational attraction to support the tourism in Jakarta and to learn more of the opportunities to develop stronger awareness of the international market to include Jakarta as one of the considered golf tourism destinations. There are hundreds of golf courses found throughout the archipelago which were designed by the world's famous designers. In the development of the design settings, most of them have been located in the scenically locations which allow the golfers to enjoy the picturesque beauty of Indonesia. Jakarta as the capital city of Indonesia offers also the unforgettable experience for the golf lovers. The well designed golf courses available as the conceptions of the world class designers can be considered as an opportunity to develop the region. They can be the rigHTM reason to escape from the daily routines and a place to build a networking in business. The research method used in this thesis is the descriptive qualitative method with quantitative data as the supportive information. The variables of study are correlated by using theoretical concepts and the formulation of logical explanation.
