An experimental study to find the characteristics of a hydraulic pump
This project aims to study the characteristics of hydraulics pump. The system can be used also to find the pressure drop between input and output of the hydraulic elements. The characteristic of hydraulic pumps is relationship between pressure and flow rate. The pressure of hydraulic pumps will be measured with pressure transmitter and the flow rate used hydraulic positive displacement motor. For each revolution of motor is equivalent with 8 cm3. The shaft of hydraulic motor is attached with optical encoder to find the time for one revolution or one cycle. The pressure signal and encoder signal measured by the microcontroller and the result will be sent to the computer.rnrnThe other using this system is to find the pressure drop in the elements or hydraulic parts. Two pressure transmitters located in inlet and outlet will be acting as the pressure difference measurement.rnrnThe project, first is mechanical design for Pressure transmitter adapter, and continues with microcontroller programming to control the measuring project, so that the output signal of pressure transmitter can be given and so the encoder output signal. rnrnIn general, this project is good and running well and can be used in hydraulic laboratory to measured their component or hydraulic parts.rnrnThis project was done by two persons with a different scope. The other uses the same tools in this project with different scope of thesis which is Computerize the Characteristic of Pressure Relief Valve" by Ahmad Redha Saleh."
