Design and construction of a sumo robot
This thesis is about robot that can do sumo, traditional Japanese sports. The goal of the robot is to push its opponent out of a sumo ring. Points are awarded based on whether or not your robot is successful in doing this. Sumo robot is consists of six primary parts: 1. Microcontroller, 2. Servo motors, 3. Sensors, 4. Batteries, 5. Mechanical hardware, 6. Sumo ring. The brain of the robot is microcontroller chip. The sumo robot's movement can be achieved by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). Sensors are necessary for PWM to trigger the servo motors, meanwhile batteries are used as mobile power supply.Special ring is made for this sumo robot battle.
