Real-time communication in electricity distribution
As industries incorporate more manufacturing machines into their production lines, the demand of reliable electricity distribution systems has also been gradually increasing. The Real-time communication concept with its deadline feature can be an alternative for further enhancing the distribution system's reliability in terms of information exchange between the distribution nodes. With a consistent and fast communication system, problem handling routines may be able to be carried on and leave the distribution system undisturbed. In order to fully understand how and why the real-time communication in electricity distribution is applied and to get them into proper perspective, a simulation of an electricity distribution in an industrial area and a real-time communication is presented in this thesis. The simulation is expected to utilize a dependable exchange of critical information between the distribution nodes.
