Designing an information system for a medical clinic: case study of x clinic

Information system takes an important role in our life globally, as well as in medical field. The use of computer systems to enhance and improve medical practice has been increasing rapidly in the recent years. Generally, most of medical clinic in Indonesia still use paper as a means of maintaining the patient medical record. Paper-based system is likely to waste time which in return it may decrease the quality of the services.rnrnThe proposed system is made to handle with these common problems and to take advantages of computer based information system. The proposed system will have the function to manage the appointment, medical record, doctor scheduling, payment, and generate report.rnrnThe methodology used in building this system is System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, system analysis and design until code construction. This system is developed using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the Database Management System.
