The swot analysis of sgu internship program at semester 3

This research is to evaluate implementation of internship program based on students, SGU and companies' point of view; to know the threat of internship program implementation in the future; and to know key-success factors which are needed to increase the chance of success for internship program implementation in the future, survey method should be done to students, companies and SGU.rnrnThe research results show that SGU need to evaluate the implementation of internship program, especially for the aspects as follows: (1) There is no integrated evaluation between SGU and company; (2) Lack of monitoring and deeper information regarding the implementation of internship program; (3) Lack of systematical learning gframework for students who conduct an internship in the company.rnrnIn addition, the threats of internship program implementation are: (1) no even one company who needs internship labor. The reason can be anything, for example; they don't trust interns anymore because what they need are reliable professional employees; (2) Employers consider intern can interrupt organization activities; (3) There are other competitor better than SGU.rnrnKey-success factors needed to succeed the implementation of internship program in the future are: (1) perform a cooperation with a company which received and utilized that internship program; (3) Continually and integrated coordination and monitoring between SGU and company.Based on the above results, there are two internship programs that should be improved in the future. First, SGU should evaluate systematically implementation of SGU internship program, because up to now there is no integrated evaluation and monitoring between SGU and company. rnrnSecond, SGU should evaluate education material so that the internship participants can adapt easily and meet company requirements.
