An analysis of export potential in a furniture company (PT XYZ)
As the company is in a very competitive industry, XYZ Company wants to be able to improve their sales by selling it to another country. The purpose of this thesis is to find out what are the barriers that cause the export sales to be very low compared to the local sales and finding out what alternatives can the company do to increase their export sales and what are the ways the company can use to export their products. The methodology of this research is mainly by collecting data from interviewing the management team, other companies, and collecting secondary data from the company and BPS. After the data are collected, it is then analyzed and compared. After the data are analyzed, it can be concluded that the export sales made by the company are very low compared by export made by Indonesia and the company have 2 main strengths which are price, quality and after sales service. The conclusion is that the company needs to work on their weaknesses and try to focus on their strength to be more competitive in the future.
