Designing and constructing a prototype of a stretch wrapping machine
This thesis is intended to design and construct a device which will wrap an item. The main reason for wrapping an item is for protection, and also for long lasting age of the item. By using a semi automatic wrapping machine hand wrapping is not needed anymore. These way industries can save more time and labour money to wrap an item.rnrnThe wrapping machine is made of 5 primary parts: 1. AC Motor, 2. DC Motor, 3. Microcontroller module, 4.Power Supply 5.Machine Frame.rnrnThe AC Motor is used to rotate the turntable. The DC Motor is used to pull up and down the stretch plastic which is used to wrap the item. The microcontroller module is to synchronize both motors. A speed control is achieved by using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).
