Designing and constructing an automatic grinding machine for motorcycle brake lining using plc

Automatic grinding machine has been used in industrial world for multi purpose. This thesis is aimed to introduce a prototype of an automatic grinding machine with special purpose, which in this case is for motor cycle brake lining grinder. By using PLC as controller and electropneumatics as an automation solution, it is hoped that this thesis can give a better understanding and deeper knowledge of several kind of an automation techniques to the reader. This thesis will show how to make the ladder program, how to implement the electropneumatics system, and apply it together so that useful system can be designed. This book will also help the reader to create a mechanical design easily by introducing SolidWorks 2007 Software, which helps the designing process faster and more accurate. rnGeneral information about characteristic and specification of AC motor and DC motor will also be explained in this thesis, due to the importance of motor in many applications. Basic understanding of motor is a need for an engineer so that there is no mistake in designing a system.
