This thesis will cover the study of image digitalization where Arabic hand written characters from physical form are captured and later can be manipulated digitally. It will cover image pre-processing techniques to prepare the digital image to a normalized scale, which will ease further processing e.g. Image recognition. The benefit of this study is to give ideal image output from the system for further recognition of the content of the material being digitized.
