Testing of es-is (end system-intermediate system) using white box and black box testing

In 1994, ICAO announced the instruction to implement CNS/ATM by 2015 for all participants of Chicago conference, including Indonesia. ATN is designed to provide data communication services. Communication services provided are grounds telecommunication system, air to ground telecommunication system, and aeronautical telecommunication service.rnrnIn ATN, there is a protocol named ES-IS (End System - Intermediate System) which function is to maintain routing information in a network. ES-IS is located in the network layer of OSI layer. There are two types of routing information that is maintained by ES-IS. These two types of information are configuration information and route redirection information.rnrnThis thesis proved that white box and black box testing method has been conducted to ES-IS functions. ES-IS functions that already been made are well structured in term of maintainability and in term of functionality only composing fix part of the PDU is already tested and running according to ISO.
