Survey of institutions involved in the tews (tsunami early warning system) in the field of science and education

Disasters bring devastations to human. Lots of material and soul were missing and destroy because enormous power from disaster. That is why people should avoid or mitigate disaster. To avoid or mitigate such calamity, disaster and risk management should be develop. The primary purpose of this research is to know what efforts that have been made by institution in Indonesia and the local university regarding TEWS. rnThis research is descriptive and qualitative. From each data about institution, researcher will observe what the institution aims and their programs. Base on that observation, research then analyze their programs regarding tsunami early warning system development. In other words, those institutions made researcher do findings on what kind capacity-building from early warning system program they have. To support this thesis, researcher also doing in depth interview with some expert in ITB, RISTEK and LIPI.
