A study of the process of obtaining a patent or intellectual property rights in Indonesia
Because of the urgent need corcerning patent and Intellectual Property Rights information, the purpose of this study is to analyze of the current situation regarding the process of obtaining a patent or intellectual property in Indonesia, to pinpoint problems and to find ways to improve its efficiency and effectiveness from patent procedure. rnrnThe methodology used literature research, interviews with professionals, and internet. The data of this thesis is collected from Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights, BNL Patent Consultant, interviews and own research. There are several professional insights also to complete the information.rnFrom those data, they show that there are still many people in Indonesia who do not have enough information concerning patent and other IPR products.rnrnFrom findings, the conclusion is to improve and deliver sufficient education and socialization to society. Government's role is needed in enhancing law enforcement concerning patent process. Patent process should not be complicated and expensive. All of these findings should be done to meet the success in bringing patent and other IPR products closer to Indonesian people and help Indonesia in competing with other countries in globalization era.
