The purpose of this thesis is to understand the budget planning process and describe the implementation of the procedure of planning and controlling financial budgeting in AIG LIFE.rnrnThe primary data are collected by observing directly to the company and interviewing respective person. The secondary data are gathered through internet and references books.rnrnBudget is one of Management's tools that has function as planning and controlling to achieve company purpose. In order to establish conformity in the preparation of annual budget, it is needed to set up budget policies and procedures to a detailed series of steps for completing the budget. Those policies and procedures are written generally in budget manual. Budget manual is used to reflect how the budget is used in an organization as well as who is responsible for the various phases of preparation, presentation, reporting and evaluation. In addition budget manual is also serves as an evaluative tool for measuring performance.
