The Effect of employee's performance appraisal towards promotion at PT. Pertamina Tongkang
Human resources hold a very dominant role in the activity of the company. Thus, everyrncompany needs to figure out how they can develop its human resources in order to stimulaternthe company?s progress. There is a factor that mainly used by the company to motivate thernemployees, which is the promotion. In deciding whether the promotion has been given to therncorrect person or not, company should have a proper reward system. The method in which torndetermine the appropriate rewards is by using employee?s performance appraisal.rnTo fulfill its purpose, the effect of performance appraisal towards promotion will be analyzed.rnThe additional analysis will also be done in examining the highest factor that effectrnperformance appraisal. The author would also like to know about the process of thernperformance appraisal.rnBased on the analysis, the effect of employee?s performance appraisal towards promotion isrnsignificant and positive. The amount of total effect is 0.784. Therefore, the promotion couldrnmotivate the employees to increase the performance in order to get a good evaluation result.rnAnd also, the factor that has highest effect towards performance appraisal is discipline withrnthe total effect of 0.442. In other word, employees at PT. Pertamina Tongkang possibly thinkrnthat with high discipline behavior, so the employees will get the good score of performancernevaluation.
