This thesis analyzes chain industry in Indonesia since there is no current study about this market yet. The study focuses on market potential of chain industry in Indonesia, especially roller chain. In this research, the market potential is connected with the industries in Indonesia that related to chain industry such as motorcycle industry, bicycle industry, automotive industry, and cement industry. Through the market analysis, fundamental knowledge about the industry, consumer and competitor will be collected. Moreover, the description of the industry is also included to analyze the chain industry in Indonesia. The result of this thesis is obtained from the analysis, questionnaire, and interview, which are done during the thesis process. The findings of this research show that the production or operational activities of four industries that related to chain industry above will influence the demand of roller chain in Indonesia in the future.
