Repairing and commissioning automated orange sorting machine

Ligawan, Jonathan Chanli - Personal Name; Sinaga, Maralo - Personal Name;

Many farmers in Indonesia are not sorting on fruit produced prior to shipping. Sorting or grading is generally only done by the traders, sorting by mechanical equipment has not been much done because of lack of knowledge and the limited number of existing tools to farmers. So the selling price obtained by farmers is less profitable, but if done will increase revenues for growers and as a place to obtain employment. The demand for citrus fruit increased with the improvement of income and awareness of nutrition and health. In general still many farmers who pick citrus fruit citrus orange only on the basis of a fairly high price at the time, not because of good quality. Therefore, many low- quality harvest because the fruits are less ripe. The best time to pick citrus fruits are: 1) if the orange fruit is already showing the characteristic yellowing of the skin, 2) if the orange fruit that was not massaged too hard, 3) if the orange fruit is held at the bottom is soft, 4 ) orange fruit looks healthy and attractive color.
