Load sensor design & development for fuzzy logic electric bike

Soedarso, Daniel - Personal Name; Tanaya, Prianggada Indra - Personal Name;

SGU E-bike has been developed for 4 generations. The last development hasrnconstructed Fuzzy Logic Controller in order to extend battery life time. The parameterrnthat is used in the Fuzzy Logic are throttle opening, battery condition, and passengerrnweight. The passenger weight parameter from last development was still in fixedrninput which is hard coded.rn The main purpose of this thesis is to make the passenger?s weight as a variablerninput from the information given based on load sensor. The load sensor is developedrnbased on strain-gage. Mechanical consideration, digitial to analog conversion and thernsource code integration to the fuzzy controller is developed. This development startrnfrom mechanical analysis, signal conditioning design and developing the interfacernbetween load sensor with fuzzy logic.rn Several tests were performed to check the strain gage response on the system.rnThey are, among other, the reliability of the strain gage, and calibration test to see thernmaximum error of the system.
