Supply chain network modelling and simulation of rice distribution in Indonesia

The objective of the thesis is to model the supply chain network of rice distribution in Indonesia and then simulate the model with a computer simulation program. The purpose of using a computer simulation program is to make it easier for the writer to test the simulation model and finding the solution for the thesis problem, where the problem is to find out how the network should work to satisfy the rice needs for every province either by production, imports, or distribution between provinces. To solve the problem and fulfilling the objective, the simulation study steps are followed closely as the method creating the simulation while utilizing secondary data for easier data collection. The result of the thesis is the working simulation model of rice distribution network throughout Indonesia with the logic that solves the thesis problem and also the ability to find out the critical aspects in the distribution network through the simulation.
