Developing, simulating and optimizing laboratory layout model for faculty of engineering of Swiss German University
This thesis project is targeted to optimize the Faculty of Engineering laboratories (Physics Laboratory, Electrical Laboratory, Pneumatics and Hydraulics Laboratory, Automation and Robotics Laboratory and Industrial Engineering Laboratory) layout by Lean Methodology.rnThis thesis project is focusing to analyzing the current engineering laboratories activities by developing new layout model with Lean Methodology. Started as Lean Manufacturing, Lean is also applicable in every sector including laboratory. Identify and eliminate wastes (Mura, Muri, Muda) are keys of Lean. After identification and elimination of wastes, then simulation activities are done in order to know whether the new proposed layout is applicable or not.
