The role of balanced scorecard in improving firms' performance: an industrial study in Indonesia's publicly-listed financing firms
To survive in today business competition, companies should focus on both financialrnand non financial aspects. Balanced Scorecard (?BSC?), which consist of financial,rncustomer, internal business process and learning and growth perspective, hasrncombined tangible, intangible and intellectual assets to company?s performance. Thisrnthesis analyzes the dominant perspective of BSC in financing institution and howrnstrong BSC positively influence financing institution?s performance.rnThis thesis focuses on publicly listed financing companies in Indonesia StockrnExchange (?IDX?) by analyzing the annual report and financial statement from 2006rnto 2010 using quantitative and qualitative methods. As the result comes out, it isrnfound that the implementation of BSC strongly adds value to company?s performance.rnFrom the four perspectives, learning and growth is the most dominant perspective inrnsupporting sustainability of financing institution.
