Analysing the effectiveness of United Indonesia's Twitter account (@utdindonesia)

The purpose of this thesis is to determine the effectiveness of @UtdIndonesia Twitter account. Twitter, as one of the most exposed social media these days, has attracted many scholars to do research about its phenomenon. United Indonesia as the largestrnfan base of Manchester United in Indonesia with massive number of members, decided to create a Twitter account in order to enhance their performance as a channelrnfor Manchester United fans in Indonesia to receive any information related to Manchester United.rnThis study finds that number of retweets received per day by @UtdIndonesia is very crucial to determine its effectiveness. By analyzing retweeting process, it appears that retweeting could affect the growth of number of followers and could generate member for United Indonesia also. Secondly, examining the number of followers lost or unfollower per day will also determine the effectiveness of @UtdIndonesia and how it influences the growth of Manchester United fans in Indonesia.
