Development of a portable 3-lead electrocardiograph 1-channel using labview 2010 dsp with fpga
Recently in Swiss German University, especially in Biomedical Department was added some facilities such as LabVIEW 2010 software, Fluke ® Biomedical Safety Analyzer, and NI ELVIS II. The problem is limited in the experiment devices. Through this condition, an idea to make an electrocardiograph (ECG) was turn out. This ECG system is generally divided into four main elements which are input, signal conditioning, signal processing, and output. The input of this ECG is from the ECG signals simulator, the input is amplified with the instrumentation amplifier (IA) along with the driven right leg circuit (DRL) to increase the common mode rejection ratio, and after the input amplified it will be filtered on 0.5 Hz with the high-pass filter. The input can be selected using the analog multiplexer, before entering the LabVIEW FPGA board, the input has been selected the analog form has to be converted into the digital form with the ADC. The output can be seen using the LabVIEW 2010 Programming interface. This electrocardiograph can read the signal from lead I, II and III with the QRS detection can be done clearly. The designed instrumentation amplifier can amplify the voltage input approximately to 1000 times.
