Mobile robot controlling using android smartphone accelerometer
A mobile robot with two wheels actuated by DC motors, and two ball casters to balance the robot, microcontrollers, receiver for connection, sensors to avoid crash and all of it mounted on a base plate. This robot controlled by an Android based smart phone using the accelerometer that available on the smart phone. Arduino microcontroller board is used as the brain of this mobile robot. It also has an object avoiding feature that use six opto reflective sensors mounted on the robot casing to detect the object nearby. Then, Bluetooth® connection is used to communicate the smart phone and the robot. The main task of this project is to design, construct and assemble the mobile robot, the electrical system and then create a program to control the mobile robot that will be installed in the android smart phone.
