Comparison and configuration of open-source Manufacturing Execution System (MES) application, study case at PT. United Tractors Pandu Engineering
This thesis aims to enhance the information flow inside the Medium Vessel Assembly Section of PT. United Tractors Pandu Engineering through the configuration of Open-Source Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Configuring the MES Application will include the specification of the functional requirement and models of the current and expected condition, also comparing open-source MES Application in the market to choose the most appropriate one to be implemented into the study case. Dynamic System Development Method (DSDM) is chosen as the methodology for this thesis due to its iterative and incremental approach. The result of this thesis is the chosen Open-Source MES Application in this thesis can only satisfy 6 out of 8 functions inside the study case. In conclusion, further developments of the Open-Source MES Application are needed to fulfill all the business requirements in the study case.
