As the improvement of technology getting better and better, every activities that need manual input or human help will be reduced and replaced by technology. SGU library has an improvement of libary management system from manual arragement using papers then using Mc.Access, into using basic php web based system. Though the latest system is sufficient to help the librarian in arranging the books and provide features for student in finding the resources they want, but still a lot of weaknesess and far from the standard library management system. Analyzing the appropriate library model to use, the current system, future system, and benchmarking other universities library will be conducted. Recommendation of which open source library management system will be the result of this research in helping to shorten the gap analysis between current and future system.
