Maturity level assessment of SGU readiness for information system development outsourcing decision

In every organization, IT usage is obliged to show that it is providing value to the organization. SGU is no different they need to conduct maturity level assessment to measure their current readiness for information system development outsourcing. The assessment itself is conducted by using COBIT framework it is expected that SGU with this assessment will help SGU to make the right decision base on the maturity level of SGU. The assessment focused on some processes from each of the domain in COBIT framework that relevant to perform portfolio analsysis, financial analysis, operation analysis, and organization analysis for measuring the readiness of SGU to do outsourcing. The average results from all of the analysis that show the maturity level of SGU readiness to accept outsourcing is 1.63. It is found that from portfolio aspect, financial aspect, operations aspect, and organization aspect, there are some managements which are needed to be taken care more by SGU.
