The impact of dividend method especially in payout ratio policy towards future earnings in consumer goods industry from investor perspective
This thesis examines the use of the dividend payout ratio as a signaling of a firm's future earnings and the relationship between dividend payout ratio and ratio in financial statement such as leverage, liquidity and profitability ratios. The data analysis comprise of 33 publicly listed companies In Indonesia and hence, using only secondary sources as data collection method. The analysis conducted through SPSS and EViews software. This study concludes that there is a strong correlation between dividend and the future earnings. Furthermore, there is no strong evidence to support the correlation for overall consumer goods industry between dividend payout and solvency, liquidity and profitability ratios.
