Evaluation of profitability and liquidity ratio in PT. Garuda Indonesia TBK. Before and after crises over the period of 2005-2011

The primary research of this thesis is to study the impacts a global crisis has on a certain industry. For this thesis the author will be studying the airline industry of Indonesia using a company that is listed at the Indonesian Stock Exchange, which is Garuda Indonesia and the oil price crises on 2008. The author will also discuss the relevant factors which have affected the financial performance of companies in the airline industry, also to understand the risk of corporate performance practices and also to provide recommendation about which factors an airline company should focus on more in order to improve their financial performance. There are two types of data collection method and they are primary data collection method and secondary data collection method. The author will use primary data collection through interview of the sample company and will intensely use secondary data collection through annual reports from the years 2005-2011. This data will correlate with the quantitative and qualitative design.
