The reasons behind the establishment of international school: a case study of dis (deutsche internationale schule) trilingual plus
In the past fifty years, followed by developing technology and business activities, expatriates go work abroad to take corporation with other country and bring his family therewith his children. In order to provide children get the same education as their home country, International School exist not just for expatriates children but also for local students to give them more than just learn cultural exchange. There are many types of International school, DIS (Deutsche Internationale Schule) at Trilingual Plus level as the attention to doing this research. DIS is one of International school in Indonesia, which provides teaching in foreign language, education, and native teachers, Trilingual Plus program is a concept that using three languages in order to prepare the graduate student capable to continue other international school, especially German school. Moreover, quantitative research through questionnaire, and in-depth interview are conduct the research. In addition, the collected data used to analyze parents' expectation towards International School. Apart from that, further analysis was conducted to see government perspectives built an international school and their effects through on its surroundings.
