Designing and constructing the picker subsystem of total length and bottom concavity of vial measurement system
The objective of this thesis project is to develop a measurement system to measure total length and bottom concavity of vial in the production line at PT. SIG. The system must be able to measure with constant and precision tolerance less than 0.06 mm. The total length of the vial means the distance between two highest points of the top and bottom of the vial. The bottom concavity means the distance between the cavity and bottom side of the vial. The vial is lifted up from the bucket of conveyor during the measurement process. LVDT sensors are used to measure the total length and bottom concavity of the vial. The measurement system is integrated with the production line at PT.SIG. HMI (Human Machine Interface) is used for activating and running the measurement system. PLC Siemens is used as to control sensors and pneumatic valves. The result of this thesis is the measurement system succeeds in measuring vial with precision less than 0.06. There are some recommendations such as picker mechanism, and suction head changing part mechanism
