Fpga based sound localization system
The objective of this thesis is to develop implementation of the FPGA processor in the topic of sound localization system using two microphones for each plane. Here the focus will be on developing and analyzing the implementation of the FPGA for providing the computational power required by the sound localization system in order to provide the estimation of the sound source direction. By building a system that acts similarly to human ears, the possibility of a robot can be optimized by having omni - directional sensory input of the environment. This thesis work will mainly focus on the knowledge of FPGA programming design to develop a suitable system that will provide the sound source position estimation by employing four microphones as the auditory sensors.
