Developing a chess playing robot with universal chess interface
Chess is a popular strategy game that consists of two players that play on a chessboard containing 64 squares of alternating colors that are normally black and white and arranged in an 8 x 8 grid. Nowadays the online chess engine is very popular. The objective of this thesis work is to develop the chess playing robot by integrating the chess engine software and the microcontroller. Universal chess interface (UCI) message is delivered into the microcontroller via serial communication. The microcontroller ATmega 328 is used to actuate the arm movement by giving signal to the actuator. This project uses the gantry that designed in the MSD-2.
