Evaluation and implementation of open source cloud storage service for mobile application

In recent years, cloud storage grows rapidly among technology users. Cloud storage is one of the service that cloud computing could provide. Most of the user aware about cloud storage, but not understand them. Therefore in this research, a more detailed explanation about cloud computing and cloud storage will be covered. To give the reader an example of how cloud storage works, the implementation of cloud storage and mobile prototype application will be included in this research. To create a stable performance cloud storage, we must choose from a number of existing cloud storage. After successfully evaluate from a number of open source cloud storage, we found out that OpenStack Swift is more stable. To connect mobile application to open source cloud storage, we have to implement the evaluated cloud storage and then create a prototype application. This prototype application cover the basic function of cloud storage capability such as upload, download, list and delete. For the conclusion for this research, we successfully evaluate and implemented cloud storage and connect it to mobile application, from this we can see how cloud storage works.
