Job satisfaction as an influential factor of organizational citizenship behavior in Jakarta's four star hotels

Increasing organizational survivability has no longer become an option, but a must. Globalization has not only opened up international trade but also international competition. Organizational Citizenship Behavior as a passive construct has been proven to be beneficial for both employees and employers alike. This research seeks to delve and analyze Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) to determine its most influential factor. By far, previous researches have indicated that factors of Job Satisfaction have the most influence towards OCB. The main purpose of this research is to single out the most influential factor of Job Satisfaction towards OCB that can be managed or controlled in some way by the organization. Data gathering is done by method of survey over several four star hotels in Jakarta. Data analysis and testing is computed by use of statistical software and path analysis. Correlation and influence of job satisfaction towards OCB is ranked as positive. However, strength of influence barely hits minimum, providing a base for future research on other factors that may be more influential towards OCB.
