Analysis of Maslow's theory hierarchy towards employees in micro & small enterprise in Tangerang
Maslow's theory of need is a motivational theory that helps the HR (Human Resource) Department to motivate their employees to work hard and to make the employees feel comfortable while working. There are more theories if needed for maintaining the employee?s motivation to work. This study focuses on Maslow?s theory hierarchy of needs to see the level of needed respondents. There are 5 levels of Maslow?s theory that are crucial for the HR department to learn: Self actualization needs, self esteem needs, social needs, security needs, and the physiological of needs. The respondents of this research are 100 micro and small enterprise employees in ITC BSD City, and BSD Plaza. This research is using primary and secondary data, and an analysis is done by SPSS. There are 4 results in this research; the first results is self-esteem on all the employees in general that have an average of 3.54, for the second results is self- actualization on the employees with more years of experience with an average of 3.56.The third results is self-actualization on the employees with more educational background that have an average of 3.56, The forth result has an average 3.59 on the older employees in the micro and small enterprise.
