Developing transportation planning system of CNG supply from East Java to Bali
The crucial of the sector energy to be supported by good supply chain system in order to maintain the availability of energy source is the intention of this thesis. The objective of this research is to develop the efficient and responsive transportation system of an energy source in form of gas from East Java to Bali. The non-existence of the transportation system and need to determine the correlation between stations availability and system performance are the problem research. The scope of the thesis is development of the transportation system from a supplier in East Java to a manufacturer (Power Plant) in Bali of an energy source in form of gas. The weather factor, air transportation, and information system development will not be included in this thesis. The methodology of this research is Discrete-Events System Simulation and using Tecnomatix Plant-Simulation as a tool. Demand was proven to have the most significant effect towards system performance of the system. Through simulation closed-loop supply chain was proven to be able to provide balance between efficiency and responsiveness in the supply chain system.
