Computer Vision on Object Measurement Recognition for Cad Drawing Purposes
With so many demands of technical drawing on the field of engineering. the importance of technial drawing have increases both in quantity and quality. Developing a system where technical drawing could be produce faster, easier and cheaper could have significant impact on todays industries. With the help of computer vision, technical drawing could be produce massively with significant reducement in both time and money. This thesis emphasize mostly on its programming on how to remove noises and process & transform the image into usable data of CAD. the method involves are the use of OpenCV, Firmata, Qt/C++, Calibration and Undistortion for the software. Capture environment box is created for the hardware in order to remove noises and provide good lighting of the object model. in the end, technical drawing with data type of DXF, which is the type that can be read by CNC and is universal, can be produce for prototyping and the total accuracy of the DXF file compare to real object is above 80%.
