This thesis is aimed to implement Business to Manufacturing Markup Language (B2MML) as a standard for data exchange in business and manufacturing. B2MML can reduce ambiguity in data transfer process between departments by implementing the concept of data exchange international standard (ISO 15926) and Extensible Markup Language (XML) as markup language. This thesis focuses on B2MML implementation from Manufacturing Execution System (MES) side. There are several steps to implement B2MML including an application development. According to this thesis, an application using Structure Query Language (SQL) is developed to generate the XML data from database. Rapid Application Development is used as methodology for application development. to simplify the application construction, code and application generator is developed using Microsoft Excel formula. the results of this thesis are mapping table, SQL code generator, SQL code for generating XML as well as its generator. Based on research result, XML can be applied in data exchange. Furthermore, there are some researches that can be conducted related to B2MML in order to improve the integration in manufacturing system.
