Analysis of the Factors That Hinder SMEs Development: a Case Study of SMEs in South Jakarta
This research tries to identify the factors that hinder small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that are located in South Jakarta. the required data are obtained from 200 SMEs in South Jakarta through primary data. This study utilizes add-on module for SPSS called AMOS to formulate the data. the variables used in this study are SMEs development, capital, natural resources, human resources, technology and competition. Through the research, this study found that capital has contributed to hinder the development of SMEs in South Jakarta, while natural resources, human resources, technology and competition have no strength of association to SMEs development based on coefficient correlations table. the squared multiple correlations show that only 31,9 have contribution on the development of SMEs in South Jakarta. Therefore, there are other variables that are not included in this study that contribute to hindering SMEs development in South Jakarta.
